Antique Royal Turkish Table: Bracketed, Galleried, Embossed, Engraved and Silver-Plated. A heavy rectangular antique Turkish table with a wooden surface decorated with applied silver-plated open-work bracketing around its sides and a gallery of silver-plated railings at each end. Each gallery is supported by a procession of silver-plated pillars flanked by three silver-plated urn-form corner posts. The side bracketing as well as the corner posts are intricately engraved. The open-work around the table’s side perimeter is decorated with embossed and engraved leaves and scrolls and reveals a decorative navy blue ground beneath the open-work. The table rests on eight fluted Corinthian style column legs, each weighing 35 lbs. and each with a chamfered square foot. Circa 19th Century. Recently restored to its original condition.
