Bronze Statue of Owl by Sculptor Eliezer Weishoff

A bronze sculpture of a perched owl with a verdigris green patina. Sculpted circa 1998 by Eliezer Weishoff (b. 1938), who is one of Israel’s leading artists and sculptors, and whose works are installed throughout Israel, including a mural high relief at the Ben Gurion Airport, as well as monuments in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Rishon LeZion. He has designed stamps for the Israeli government, and other countries have commissioned him to design and sculpt their coins and medals. He has designed Israeli pavilions for international exhibitions including the International Air Show at Le Bourget, Paris, and one of his sculptures is located in the main lobby of the Carnival Cruise Line’s Superliner “The Sensation.” Weishoff completed a novel series of animal sculptures cast in bronze, with a colored patina finish. The humorous personalities of the animals are styled by the artist with tender loving care. The series has been produced in a limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist.
