42-Piece French Dinner Service by Bernardaud: “Flamants Roses” Pattern. The Flamants Roses pattern depicts a frieze of pink flamingos flanked by smaller motifs characteristic of a freshwater pond or marsh environment including clusters of wisterias, cattails, and ducks. This 42-piece set consists of 12 place settings plus 6 serving pieces. Each place setting consists of a dinner plate, a bread plate, and a salad bowl. Serving pieces consist of a large soup tureen, a covered vegetable bowl, a gravy boat, two pickle dishes, and a deep serving dish. Marked on the top surface with the “Bernardaud” name in gilt script, and on the underside with the Ancienne Manufacture Royale Limoges (ANC) decorating logo. Bernardaud et Cie produced the blanks for decoration by ANC and acquired ANC in 1986. The Flamants Roses pattern was produced from 1986 to 1998 and is now discontinued.
