French Jaccard UTI Firebrick Desk Clock. This desk clock was produced by the French firm Compagnie Industrielle de Mechanique Horological under the Jaccard UTI trademark. A characteristic of these clocks is that the alarm bell was on the back, rather than on the top, and produced a melodious sound rather than the harsh dinging often found on clocks with top mounted alarm bells.
