Item Description
German Porcelain Portrait Vase: Queen Louisa of Prussia. Tapered vase with a polychrome scene of Queen Louisa descending an outdoors staircase. Probably based on a 1879 portrait by Gustav Karl Ludwig Richter. Marked on the underside “Made in Germany” and a logo incorporating a lion passant and “GLH.” Numbered “116.” Small ding on front of Queen Louisa’s robe, some gold loss on the rim, and a long, thin line to the right of the portrait, possibly occurring during the firing process.
