Item Description
Traditional Old Egyptian bulbous plain copper vessel and is fitted with twin Copper handles and a lid. It is assembled from two parts with an identifiable seam separating the body, and base. Similar to Product # 2907 but, this is a smaller version and is used for cooking Fava beans at homes. Fava beans are popular today in Egypt and elsewhere and normally require such a specially shaped vessel designed to minimize the amount of beans on top and made with a lid to minimize exposure to the air and keeping the hot steam within the container to bring the water to the boiling point.
