Italian Art-Glass Planter by Egizia. This planter, decorated with red Oriental-style raised motifs on a blue ground, is from the “Corail Series” and gives the appearance of Japanese coralene. Designed by the Canadian-born architect/interior designer Nathalie Jean for Egizia of Sottsass Associati in Milan and produced in 1998 by Egizia, a 56-year-old company known for silkscreen printing and located in the Tuscany region of Italy. Marked with the Egizia label and inscribed on the lower surface “Nathalie Jean for hwc Egizia by Sottsass Assocati.” Part of Egizia's "Handle with Care" collection of serigraphed glass.
