Italian Lidded Urn by Ermete Agostenelli. Produced in Bassano, Italy by Dr. Ermete Agostinelli (1915-2000). A cobalt blue porcelain lidded urn decorated with a frieze of gilt wreaths, two white medallions, and blue and white ovals encased within a beaded gilt spiral band encircling the perimeter. The two medallions are applied on the urn’s neck and are embossed with motifs of musical instruments including a lyre, a lute, and a horn. Marked on the underside “Porcellane D’Arte/Agostinelli/Bassino, Italy/Décor a la main.” Circa 1960.
