Japanese Porcelain Dresser Jar by Fukagawa. An oval dresser jar decorated with polychrome flowers, leaves, and stems in orange, green, and blue, along with a flying green bird, all against a white ground. Gilt handle on lid. Marked on the underside with the silver and blue Fukagawa foil label reading “Fukagawa/Porcelain/Arita/Japan/Purveryor to the Imperial Household.” Oriental script in raised blue characters, including the Fukagawa mountain, adjacent to the foil label.
