Pair of Italian Sevres-Style Covered Urns by Artistiche Ceramiche Fiorentine. Produced in Florence, Italy, by a 55-year-old Italian company whose initial goal was to retain the 18th-century French Sevres-style tradition in its creation of porcelain objets d’art. Each urn is decorated with a polychrome porcelain ovoid-form panel of a couple in 18th-century costume. The panel on one urn depicts a courting couple and the panel on the other urn depicts a frolicking couple. The surfaces are in a traditional dark cobalt blue porcelain in the Sevres manner. Ormolu mounts in wreaths and acanthus leaves. Each urn has two paw feet and two block feet on a garland-draped gilt-metal circular platform base. Each porcelain panel is signed “P. Peccholi.” Comes with factory informational hang-tag.
