Item Description
Perfume Vanity Accessory. Small glass vial inside the enclosed body serves to contain the perfume. Long glass dauber mounted in gilt metal finial. Beveled window on each side. Pierced gilt metal body decorated with a floral porcelain medallion on each end and one on the finial which is in the form of three birds perched on a branch. Four scrolling feet. Provenance unknown, but possibly by the American firm Guildcrest known for producing dresser sets and boudoir accessories in the 1940’s and 1950’s and who imported some pieces from Germany.
