Monumental Reverse-Decorated French Art-Glass Vase in the Verre Églomisé Manner by Laque Line. Produced in Bourgoin-Jallieu, France. This gilt-speckled art-glass vase in the form of an urn is in a mottled mauve, purple, blue, and green produced by the eglomisation process of reverse painting, internal sealing, and external lacquering. The original Laque Line label is affixed to the underside and reads “Piecé unique réalisée á la main/Made in France.” The factory mark consisting of two overlapping “L’s” is lightly sandblasted adjacent to the label. Circa 1960s.
