Swiss Bedside/Desktop Clock in Black and Brass by Swiza. The Swiza firm, founded in 1904 by Louis Schwab, produces high-end timepieces under the L’Epee, Matthew Norman, and Swiza names. It is Switzerland’s largest manufacturer of table and alarm clocks. Since 1984 the company has focused on quartz table clocks with or without an alarm function. This 20th Century Swiza is in an octagonal black case with brass highlights. Roman numerals at VI and XII. Gilt hands. Quartz movement. Push/Pull mechanism. Marked “Swiza/Quartz/Swiss” on its face and engraved ”Swiza S.A.” on its backside. Comes in maroon case with cushioned interior. Box measures: 6" d 3.25" h
