Item Description
Traditional Old Egyptian bulbous copper vessel has a hammered body and is fitted with twin Copper handles. It is assembled from two parts with an identifiable seam separating the body, and base. Similar to Product # 2907 but, this is a smaller version and is used for cooking Fava beans at homes; while vessel # 2907 is for the usage of restaurants and vendors. Fava beans are popular today in Egypt and elsewhere and normally require such a specially shaped vessel designed to minimize the amount of beans on top which might otherwise expose them to the air and cause them to become black, dry, and undercooked.
